Back to School with i-Believe

Did you know that Back to School is the second largest consumer spending season of the year and can put a considerable strain on family budgets meaning mums are actively searching out opportunities in which they can save on their shop.

According to a survey carried out by Barnardos in 2013, the average cost of sending a child aged 10 into 4th class was €390 while sending a child of 12 into secondary school €770 – and these costs don’t include sports equipment, school bags, transport costs or extracurricular activities.

Mums begin their Back to School Shopping in earnest across July and then the last minute dash in August.

This is the time when mums are on the look out for best value for all those back to school items – uniforms, shoes, eye-wear, backpacks, gym wear, stationary, books and of course planning in some new and of course healthy lunchbox fillers.

With over 450,000 mums visiting our Parenting Channel each month and a social reach of over 90,000, i-Believe is the largest single buying point in the country for brands who want to engage with these back to school planning mums.

Our i-Believe Parenting Channel will be packed full of helpful Back to School tips for mums, such as checklists, money-saving tips, lunch box recipe ideas, etc.

From high impact messaging to Brand Voice opportunities (content, social, ezines, competitions, sponsorships etc) our sites will ensure your brands are front of mind when mums are making their back to school buying decisions.

Finally, what memories does school evoke for you? We asked a few bods here in the office about their school memories and it has to be said they brought a smile to all our faces!
